🏫 School Issues Statement in Early Hours: Social Workers and Teachers Immediately Intervened
The statement from Hong Kong Lutheran Church Tsang Shing Siu Leun School said it was aware that a social media platform had shared a video related to one of its students, and stressed that the school has always placed students' physical and mental safety and welfare first, and will never allow any behaviour that harms children's rights or their physical and mental health. Regarding this incident, the school is actively looking into the matter. The school also said that to protect the child's privacy and mental health, it earnestly appeals to all sectors to stop forwarding or spreading the relevant video and information; not to harass, chase or follow the affected student and family, to avoid causing secondary harm and fear to the child, and to give the school ample space to properly handle follow-up matters. The school will certainly monitor and follow up promptly and continuously, and provide the most appropriate support to the family concerned.
