Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 October 2026
Welcome to Goal Edu. These Terms of Service ("Terms") form an agreement between you and Goal Education Limited ("we", "us") governing your use of the Goal Edu website (goal-edu.com), the Goal Edu WeChat Mini Program, and related services (the "Service"). Please read these Terms together with our Privacy Policy before using the Service. By ticking the consent box, registering an account, or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What the Service provides
- The Service is built for families planning education in Hong Kong. It provides school and university information, admissions events and competitions, course listings, child profile management, ability assessments, admissions matching, development reports, and CV generation.
- Some features generate content using artificial intelligence. Results are for reference only, are not a guarantee of admission, and do not constitute professional educational, legal, medical, or financial advice. Please verify independently before making decisions.
- We may add, change, or discontinue features as the Service evolves. We will announce material changes on the website or in the Mini Program.
2. Accounts
- You may register with an email address (confirmed by a one-time code, with an optional password) or, in the Mini Program, sign in with WeChat authorisation. Please provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your account and password confidential. You must not lend, transfer, or share your account. Activity carried out through your account is treated as your own.
- If you believe your account has been compromised, notify us immediately at support@goal-edu.com.
- You may close your account at any time at goal-edu.com/account-deletion, or in the Mini Program via "Me → Settings → Delete account". After closure we delete or anonymise your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.
3. Children's information and guardian consent
The Service is intended for parents and legal guardians. When you enter a child's name, school, results, activities, awards, photos, or certificates into a child profile, you confirm that you are that child's parent or legal guardian, or that you have obtained the guardian's explicit consent.
We use that information only to provide you with education-planning features. We never use it to market to minors.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- post or transmit unlawful, false, infringing, harassing, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate content;
- upload files containing viruses, trojans, or other malicious code;
- infringe the intellectual property, privacy, reputation, or other rights of any person;
- scrape, crawl, or bulk-copy data from the Service by automated means;
- reverse-engineer, interfere with, or attack the Service, or circumvent any security or billing mechanism.
5. Content you upload
- Certificates, portfolio items, photos, files, and details you upload must be content you own or are entitled to use, and must not infringe any third party's rights.
- You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use that content only as needed to run the Service — storing and processing it, displaying it back to you, and generating your match results, reports, and CVs. We do not publish it or use it for anything else.
- If you breach these Terms, we may remove the content and restrict, suspend, or terminate your access — after notice, or immediately where the situation is urgent.
6. Paid features and codes
- Some features require a premium membership. Benefits, prices, and validity periods are shown on the purchase page.
- You may redeem a promotional or membership code on the website or in the Mini Program. Codes may not be resold or exchanged for cash, and expired or used codes are void.
- If you purchase on our website, payment is handled by a third-party payment provider; we do not store your full card number.
- Except where required by law or stated otherwise on the page, digital services are non-refundable once activated. Contact support@goal-edu.com with any dispute.
- When a membership ends, your saved child profiles and history remain, but premium features stop being available.
7. Third-party information and links
- School, course, event, and competition data comes from public sources or third parties. We take reasonable care to verify it but cannot guarantee it is complete, accurate, or current — always confirm with the school, organiser, or course provider.
- When you submit a course enquiry, we pass the contact details you entered to the relevant course provider so they can contact you. Their use of your information is governed by their own privacy policy.
- The Service may link to third-party content, which remains that third party's responsibility.
8. Intellectual property
The Service and its interface design, text, graphics, algorithms, databases, software, and trade marks belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, adapt, distribute, rent, or commercialise them without our written permission.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for interruption, delay, or data loss caused by network faults, maintenance, force majeure, or third parties.
- We are not responsible for decisions you make, or their consequences, based on information in the Service or on AI-generated suggestions and match results.
- Our total aggregate liability under these Terms will not exceed the fees you actually paid for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose.
- Nothing here excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
10. Changes and termination
- We may revise these Terms from time to time and will publish the revised version on this page (and in the Mini Program) with an updated date. If you do not agree, stop using the Service; continued use means you accept the revision.
- You may end this agreement at any time by ceasing to use the Service or closing your account.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China. Disputes should first be resolved by discussion; failing that, either party may submit the dispute to the competent courts of Hong Kong.
