(A) academic results 50% (conduct must be Grade B or above),
(B) interview performance 37%,
(C) extracurricular activity performance 10%, and
(D) other factors 3% (such as parents being alumni/staff, or siblings currently studying or having studied at the school).
💡 Principal Explains Interview Focus; Single Round with Compulsory English Questions
SSC interviews are expected to be held in mid-January 2027, conducted as a "2-on-1" interview by Chinese and English teachers, lasting about 15 to 20 minutes, with no need for parents to attend. Interviews are mainly conducted in Cantonese and English (Putonghua interviews may be requested separately), and some candidates may need to demonstrate musical or sports talent on the spot. Principal Maggie Ma Lee Man-wai revealed in an interview that the interview focuses on three key areas:
(A) language ability, with English Q&A being compulsory to assess students' English communication and comprehension;
(B) learning enthusiasm, assessing whether students have a proactive desire for knowledge and the ability to think independently and solve problems;
(C) interpersonal attitude, observing through understanding students' daily life, routines and self-care abilities whether they know how to communicate with a team with an "Independent" and "Interdependent" mindset.
