An approximately 8-metre-tall giant banyan tree lantern installation is particularly eye-catching, along with festive lanterns from 20 countries, a Mid-Autumn creative market, lantern-crafting workshops and robot performances. From now until 27 September, everyone is welcome to come and take photos!

🌟 8 Photo Spots: 8-Metre Banyan Tree Lantern + 3,000 Global Lanterns
The 8-metre-tall "Shadows of Light" giant banyan tree lantern installation at the main entrance of Victoria Park is the most eye-catching of all. Presented by the Hong Kong Tourism Board and designed by the Nanjing Qinhuai Lantern Team, it is themed around "reunion" and incorporates intangible cultural heritage craftsmanship, with light weaving through the tree's shadows. Other highlights include the 7-metre-tall water moon "Moon over the Lotus Pond," the "World Lantern Street" bringing together more than 3,000 distinctive lanterns from 20 countries and regions, "Flavours of Light" themed around egg waffles, Hong Kong-style milk tea, wonton noodles and dim sum, the "Harmony and Love" heart-shaped lantern installation archway, the "Panda and Horse" installation featuring a cute panda and a lively steed, "Craftsmanship of the Moon" woven from bamboo strips by veteran craftsman Hui Ka-hung, and "Whispers to the Moon" designed by students and people with disabilities.

🎪 Market and Workshops, Self-Service Lantern Riddles + Robot Performances
There will also be a Mid-Autumn creative market, lantern-crafting workshops, self-service lantern riddles and a charity mooncake stall, in collaboration with Po Leung Kuk to sell Chiu Chow-style, Suzhou-style, custard and traditional Hong Kong-style mooncakes, with all proceeds going to charity. In addition, there will be limited robot performances, with the intelligent robot "Han Yue" demonstrating intangible cultural heritage lacquer fan making on the spot, and the bipedal humanoid robot "Galaxy Star ET1" performing dynamic dances.

🐉 Fire Dragon Dance on Mid-Autumn Festival Day; Lighting Extended to Midnight
On the evening of the Mid-Autumn Festival day itself (25 September), the Tai Hang Fire Dragon will dance into Victoria Park. The lantern carnival will be lit from now until 27 September, from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. each night, with lighting extended to midnight on the Mid-Autumn Festival day itself. The venue is Football Pitches 1 to 6, Victoria Park, Causeway Bay. Admission is free.
