More details have recently been disclosed in court in the Abby Choi dismemberment case. Abby Choi's mother testified that her daughter attended Sir Ellis International School in Tsuen Wan during her secondary school years, and it was at that school that she met her ex-husband, Kwong Kong-chi. The two met at around age 15, started dating at 17, and Abby Choi even attended school while pregnant at 18. This international school, described by netizens as "the most hidden in Hong Kong," has immediately attracted public attention, and its unique campus location and background have become a hot topic.

🏢 Hidden on a Podium in Riviera Gardens; Netizens Call It "Hong Kong's Most Hidden School"

The general impression of an "international school" is inseparable from a vast campus, green lawns and luxury swimming pools. However, Sir Ellis International School, founded in 1982, breaks with tradition with its campus location on the fourth floor of the Podium of Phase E of Riviera Gardens in Tsuen Wan. Some netizens described it as "Hong Kong's most hidden international school." Students must take a lift from the ground-floor car park to get to school every day. The total number of students from Form 1 to Form 7 is small, amounting to only a few dozen. Netizens also marvelled that, while many regular schools have faced "school closure" crises in recent years, this private international school hidden inside an estate car park has managed to stand for decades, showing remarkable resilience.

📚 Part of Funful Education Organisation; Offers Cambridge International Curriculum

Sir Ellis International School was founded by Dr. Tina Poon Chan Chi-kuen and is affiliated with the Funful Education Organisation. The organisation covers early childhood education to secondary level, including Funful Kindergarten and Funful English Primary School, while Sir Ellis International School serves as the group's secondary section, dedicated to students' all-round development.

As a Cambridge international school, Sir Ellis mainly offers internationally recognised IGCSE and A-Level programmes, with results recognised by top universities worldwide. The school emphasises that its educational philosophy is not only about imparting knowledge, but also focuses on cultivating the key skills students need for the future workplace and society, including problem-solving, critical thinking, project management and emotional intelligence. As students progress to IGCSE and A-Levels, the school provides a diverse range of elective courses, allowing students to customise their own educational pathway according to their personal passions and career aspirations.
