JUPAS 2027 Applications Open from 7 October; Official Instagram Launched; AlipayHK Added as Payment Method

The Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS) announced on the 9th that applications for the 2027 JUPAS cycle will open at 9 a.m. on 7 October this year. Applicants must submit and complete the application process through the JUPAS online application system.

Overview of Key Dates in the First Phase

Application submission: 7 October 2026 (9 a.m.) to 2 December 2026 (5 p.m.), during which programme choices may be updated free of charge an unlimited number of times

Late application submission: 4 December 2026 (9 a.m.) to 13 January 2027 (5 p.m.)

Submission of Other Experiences and Achievements (OEA) information: 7 October 2026 (9 a.m.) to 20 January 2027 (5 p.m.)

The application fee is HK$500, while the late application fee is HK$1,000 (comprising a HK$500 application fee and a HK$500 late application surcharge). AlipayHK has been added as a new payment method, alongside continued support for credit cards, Faster Payment System (FPS) and PPS online services.

JUPAS has also launched an official Instagram account, @jupas.official, which will publish important date reminders, the latest arrangements and practical tips in conjunction with the official website. JUPAS reminded CATI-5 category applicants (those holding a valid dependant visa/entry permit) to carefully review the application information and related arrangements published on the JUPAS website before applying.
