Description

ANFIELD ST. BOSCO KOON YING SCHOOL is an independent Catholic primary school for boys and girls with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities). The enrollment is between the ages of five and twelve and it provides students with a British-style education. The school is supported by the Anfield Hearts Foundation, an organization that supports the educational needs of children with SEND in Hong Kong. Although the school is small, it is an outstanding special school. The school caters for children with special educational needs and disabilities at KS1 and KS2, providing services for those pupils who require additional preparation for entry into mainstream education, as well as those with high needs who require more specialist care. The school is located on the former site of the Yuen Long Village School, Kwun Ying School, and provides comprehensive support to 48 children. The school provides the necessary facilities to assess and diagnose students so that they can receive the best educational support for their specific circumstances. The goal is to help these children meaningfully reintegrate into the mainstream education system.
