Led by PolyU Council Chairman Lam Tai-fai, the delegation held a total of 28 meetings and exchange activities during its itinerary from the 10th to 16th of this month, covering local government departments, higher education institutions, secondary schools, Confucius Institutes, business associations and cultural organisations, further expanding PolyU's network along the "Belt and Road."

🌏 Visiting Three Countries with 28 Meetings Covering Multiple Areas
The delegation visited multiple schools in Mongolia and South Korea to introduce PolyU's teaching features and encourage outstanding students to study at PolyU. The itinerary covered collaboration directions including education, research, talent cultivation and cultural exchange, with various parties discussing specific areas of cooperation and strengthening PolyU's ties with local partners.

🎓 Aligning with "Study in Hong Kong" Policy to Attract Top Students
The delegation visited local secondary schools to introduce PolyU's programme features, campus learning environment and the government's "Study in Hong Kong" policy to teachers and students, attracting outstanding students to choose Hong Kong for their studies. In line with the trend of digital teaching, the delegation successively visited the National University of Mongolia, Yonsei University in South Korea and Universiti Malaya, exchanging views on the innovative direction of international Chinese language education amid the AI wave, and exploring how to combine Chinese language with professional disciplines, nurture local teachers and develop localised teaching resources.

🏮 Confucius Institute Through-Train to Promote Chinese Cultural Experience
PolyU is the only university in Hong Kong with a Confucius Institute, committed to building a "secondary school–university–Confucius Institute" through-train educational exchange and cooperation chain. The delegation visited the China Cultural Centre in Ulaanbaatar and the China Cultural Centre in Seoul to learn about local work in promoting Chinese culture and brand activities such as the "Chinese Culture Experience Camp," and discussed follow-up cooperation.

🎉 90th Anniversary: Inviting Mongolian Arts Troupe to Visit Hong Kong
As PolyU will celebrate its 90th anniversary next year, during its visit to Mongolia, the delegation met with the Executive Agency for Culture and Arts of Mongolia to invite a local arts delegation to visit PolyU next year, hoping to bring the two places closer through cultural and artistic exchange and open up more educational and cultural cooperation opportunities.
